The tiger Shere Khan hates people because of their guns and their ability to make fire. He knows they can be very dangerous to him. The evil predator follows the trail of the little Mowgli. Will Mowgli escape Shere Khan's paws.

Kaa the snake has a special ability. She can hypnotize her enemy with her eyes and lull them to sleep. Mowgli is an easy target for the seedy Kaa.

The wise panther Bagheera is Mowgli's friend and his constant protector. He was the one who found Mowgli when he was a baby abandoned in a basket and brought him to the wolf family. Shanti is a young village girl, full of life and curiosity. She is fascinated by Mowgli, but when he tries to share his beloved jungle with her, she is upset because the jungle frightens her. When she sees Mowgli has been captured, her fear doesn’t stop her from saving her new friend. At the end of the story Shanti had become a courageous young girl who is ready to face any danger with Mowgli.

Mowgli grew up with a wolf family and now, he leads a carefree life in the midst of the jungle. When news of the return of the tiger Shere Khan reaches the Wolf Council, they decide to take the boy back to the people, because they are worried about his safety. Mowgli doesn’t want to leave. He wants to stay in the jungle with his animal friends.

King Louie loves to party in the ruins of the lost city. When the portly Monkey King begins to sing and swing, the whole monkey troop starts to dance. The greatest desire of the Monkey King is to become a human being. He is convinced he could realize his dream if he could just possess the gift of fire.
